Timeshare Rescue
I have been alerted after reading on various timeshare forums of a potentially hazardous company known as Timeshare Rescue. Timeshare Rescue is one of several timeshare collection organizations, sometimes referred to as title transfer companies. These title transfer companies often appear out of nowhere, offering owners an exit strategy from their unwanted time share for a fee. These are often the only viable option for individuals who have been scammed out of their money in exchange for unusable and unmanageable timeshares that are worthless on the resale market. Unfortunately, the title transfer company landscape is just filled with corruption in a way similar to the actual timeshare industry, including timeshare resale.
A quick glance at their Better Business Bureau profile doesn’t reveal anything too incriminating, although their profile is not very detailed. Still, this is relatively normal for new companies, and the Timeshare Rescue file was made in September, 2007 according to the BBB. The company itself, as listed on the California State Secretary website, opened shop on June 26th, 2007. This would not be so odd by itself were it not for the fact that curious consumers calling the company and attending presentations have been told that Timeshare Rescue has been in business for 2 years and has transferred the titles of over 1,000 timeshares. This figure is impossible since, as the profile says, the company was formed in 2007.
A recent up date regarding Timeshare Rescue in early 2008 shows that the company became a BBB Accredited Business on 3/28/08, however, they still do not have an official rating. I would advise you to still exercise caution if you are considering signing a contract with Timeshare Rescue.
** UPDATE 8/11/09 **
The following was taken from the BBB.org Website:
“On May 1, 2009 this company’s (Timeshare Rescue) accreditation in the BBB was revoked by the BBB’s Board of Directors due to failure to eliminate the underlying cause of complaints on file with the BBB.
Based on BBB files, this business has a BBB Rating of F.
Reasons for this rating include:
- Length of time business has been operating.
- 169 complaints filed against business
- 83 complaints filed against business that were not resolved.
- Overall complaint history with BBB.
- Advertising issue(s) found by BBB.
- BBB Accreditation was revoked because business failed to comply with agreed BBB standards.
- Business has failed to resolve underlying cause(s) of a pattern of complaints.
- Failure to respond to one complaint filed against business.
The BBB has noticed a pattern of complaints concerning: the length of time it takes to transfer ownership of the timeshare, concerns with taking over payments of the timeshare’s maintenance fees, misleading timeshare tax information given to consumers and poor customer service. Consumers also state that the company is not returning phone calls. Consumers state they are receiving automated responses from support@timesharerescue.com email. The automated response is a Q & A fact sheet based on Time Share Rescue consumer FAQ’s.
The address for this company is a mailbox drop location only, the actual whereabouts of this company are unknown to the BBB at this time.”
** UPDATE 11/4/09 **
According to the Timeshare Rescue website, “We are now a FREE service helping timeshare owners get out of their timeshare units. If you have a timeshare that you want to be rid of, we are here to provide FREE information on how you can get rid of your timeshare yourself.”
They also have created a Feedback Forum, where they encourage you to, “…use this forum as a means to communicate with us with regard to your timeshare transfer questions. This is a place for all feedback regarding timeshare transfer questions. We look forward to communicating with you here and providing information to you as a FREE service.”
The new Timeshare Rescue website appears to have gone live on November 1, 2009. I encourage anyone who has used the new site to share their story below, and help fellow timeshare owners who have been dealing with Timeshare Rescue.
Please feel free to post comments if you have had any experiences with Timeshare Rescue.
** UPDATE 2/11/09 **
The Timeshare Rescue website is no longer available. When you go to the page it tries to redirect to the Wanted Weeks website, which is also not functional at this time.

Hi,
I am sorry it may be off topic as I neither have any information about Timeshare Rescue nor do I endorse using the word “scam” in relation to my post. Although since it is about timeshare and people who are stuck with their timeshare, i’d like to ask the public to contact me.
If you or anyone you know bought timeshare from Point To Point Destinations (West Coast Timeshare) in Vancouver, BC, Canada, please contact me from my web site where i posted some facts about my experience and i am looking for other poeple who had a similar experience:

Is timeshareassistance.com another one of these scams? I tried to donate my timeshare and one such place refused my donation but suggested using this company.

I had a hard time finding info on Timeshare Rescue so maybe someone on the site has used them before and can help:) I did see on their website that you are charged for the transaction – “Question What does Timeshare Relief charge to remove me from my Timeshare Ownership? Answer: Timeshare Assistance, Inc. charges a service fee equal to 1 year’s maintenance fee and a small recording fee of $127.00.”
September 9th, 2008 at 10:04 am
I had the same offer from timeshareassistance.com I tried to donate my timeshare and then was referred to this company. I can’t find any information on them other than their website. All answers to “what do they do with the timeshares” are avoided, so I have no idea what to do.

I would like to know if timeshare assistance.com is a good company and would appreciate those who have used them to make comments here. Also would appreciate comments about timeshare rescue?

I have the paperwork here from Timeshare Rescue to transfer my name and responsibility from the property I purchased nearly 10 years ago. THAT was a scam and an important one. Paid $25,000 cash! The $700 maintenance fee has doubled in ten years plus a hit to “rebuild” Club Regina Puerto Vallartas’ BEACH! I am disabeled and even before the current fiancial emergency was living on Social Security with a small savings which is disappearing even as we speak. I used the property one time and various services practically required, plus a requried donation to a local charity cost me a few thousand dollars. I have a one bedroom and took my two six year old grand sons. We did nothing luxuirious. I came to this site to explore a little before I make another costly mistake. I have signed over the property over the years with no less than five places that were going to rent or sell my time share. Each cost anywhere from $400 to $650. Each promised they were not like the ones before. Each ignored any contact after they received my payment. It is a beautiful property but if you can’t book a year or more in advance you are out of luck. Now, reading these entries I’m even more worried than before. So far I haven’t seen anything specific here that Timeshare Rescue is a bad apple, except they told me I would have reconveyence in two weeks and everything in their paperwork indicates 90 to 120 days. This is important because I asked them, on a confrrence call with other losers like myself what guarantee we had that THEY were also out to scam us. The reply was we were using a credit card and we could refuse to pay the charge if they didn’t accomplish what they promised. This would work with an expecatation of a 2 week reconveyence. However, I believe credit cards only allow 60 days to refuse a charge. I’m so lost. I am going to continue looking. If I find more, I will post it. What kind of people do this? How horribly cruel they must be to take money over and over from a senior citizen, or anyone else for that matter. According to Timeshare Rescue, if we don’t use them to get us out of this, we not only have to pay the maint fees the rest of our lives but it passes on to our heirs!!!!!! I’m very ill and only want peace of mind and to be rid of this horror. I was going to complete the paperwork and send it out today. Now, I think I need to invest more time on line. By the way. The Timeshare Rescue fee is $2497. Since my annual fee is due on the property the end of Jan, they require I pay that and they deduct $1000 from their fee in return. The annual fee on the property is now $1350 and goes up several dollars a year. The property is The Club Regina, Cabo San Lucas. A five star resort with a red or gold star rating depending what you are looking at. I hope this helps someone else. I will be checking back for any other comments. Thank you in advance for caring. Someday, perhaps younger victims will find a legal way to finally stop this fraud. For now, I must pray Timeshare Rescue is for real.

I have Timeshare Rescue paperwork on my desk to sign . Was told I would have reconveyence in 2 wks. Paperwork shows 90 to 120 days. This is important. I asked them what guarantee I had THEY were not also scammers. Replied I was using credit card and could refuse to pay if they didn’t keep promises. This works wi a 2 wk reconveyence. Credit card only allows 60 days to refuse charge. They would be clear with 90 or 120 days. I’m so lost. Timeshare Rescue fee is $2497. They require 2009 maint fee be paid and deduct $1000 from their fee if done. Maint Fee for 09 $1350. TMR Fee $1500. A lot of money. I live on Social Security,+ a small dwindling annuity. My home is for sale.I must pray Timeshare Rescue is for real.

I am so sorry I couldn’t manuever better and so much time was taken up with my pityful story. I’ve tried every way I know to delete the second message sent in error. I swear, it is like the timeshare, no matter what I do. . .it won’t go away!
November 4th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
Sure would like to hear from someone who has used timeshareassistance.com – I’m tempted to use them, but, like everyone else, have been burned and am really resistant to spend more money.
November 5th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
I received a completion letter from Timeshare Rescue and the title company saying that my transfers was completed. I just got off the phone with Marriott and I am indeed off the contract. It took a little longer than I thought it would but this is finally over. I wish it was a little less, but worth it in my book. I would recommed them to anyone as fed up as we were with their timeshare.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:51 am
I just learned something all of you can probably benefit from. Call your timeshare resort contracts department. Tell them that you don’t want to sell your timeshare back, you want to give it back to them. Some resorts will take it back through a quick claim deed. We were considering Timeshare Assistance but were uncertain if it was for real. Now we will proceed with giving the timeshare back to the resort company.
November 22nd, 2008 at 5:12 pm
We just signed with Timeshare Rescue in hopes of finally getting rid of this money pit timeshare. Hope it all pans out in less than 60 days or I think I will cancell payment. Can anyone else convince me they will do what they say they will? In addition I will be calling the resorts contract dept. to find out more about giving it back to them. Thanks for all the info.
November 29th, 2008 at 11:49 am
When I entered the TimeshareAssistance, Inc. website through Google it mentioned paying me cash for my timeshare. If you could get something for it and transfer the deed, wouldn’t that be better than just giving your unit back to the resort.
December 1st, 2008 at 6:21 pm
My wife and I used a different company based out of CA. We wanted to sell and make some money, but realized quickly that was not going to happen. The company we used had an A rating with the BBB so we felt more comfortable using them. We got the final paperwork back showing it is out of our name. The company, Timeshare Acquisitions, did what they promised. While we are sick about losing our initial investment at least we are not going to lose more money going forward.
December 9th, 2008 at 4:05 pm
I believe that Timeshare Rescue and their transfer agent, Resort Transfer Services are fraudulent organizations. I have reported them to our local police and will be contacting the Colorado Attorney Generals Office to express my concerns.
December 10th, 2008 at 7:33 pm
As a former employee of Timeshare Rescue and Resort Transfer Services I can understand your frustrations. I believe their emphasis is not on customer care it more about making the money. I personally do not agree with the ethics nor their morals. That is why I started my own timeshare alleviation business that emphasizes on customer service, customer care and guaranted results. Please feel free to call us for advice or with any questions that you may have. I can be reached at 866-962-1860 or via email at melissaw@timesharesavior.com

Hello. I am an employee at Resort Transfer Services. Melissa Welch (commented above) quit Resort Transfer Services because she was starting her own inferior timeshare company in hopes of competing. The problems with customer service and backlog at Resort Transfer Services can be directly connected to Melissa and her job duties while employed by Resort Transfer Services. To date, in her new company ran out of her shanty apartment, she has had zero customers and has successfully transferred zero timeshares for clients. Her company is a joke.
Now that she has left Resort Transfer Services we are 100 percent caught up on our backlog caused by her. She is a bad person, with a bad attitude, that is being sued by her former employer because of her 1) incompetence 2) poor morals in starting a company thinking she could compete while still employed 3) harming current clients of Resort Transfer Services in hopes of converting them to her own inferior venture. 4) violating her non-compete provisions.
If you have had problems with Resort Transfer Services in the past, please accept our apologies, but know we are on top of the transfers as contracted. In fact, if you have had problems you can rest assured that Melissa Welch is being held responsible through a lawsuit from Resort Transfer Services for causing these troubles. If you need anything, contact us via email at support@resorttransferservices.com so we may assist you. Thank you again for your business and understanding as we close this chapter on a bad former employee. Happy Holidays!

I am writing a reply in reference to the above comment posted by RTS.
First of all, the person who wrote the comment is afraid to use their name, leading me to believe that this is one of the owners of Timeshare Rescue. Are they afraid to say who they are? Their company also owns Resort Transfer Services (aka RTS) and they are also partnered with Wanted Weeks.
Secondly, which company is stealing ideas? Try typing Timeshare Savior on Google (as of 12/23/2008)and see who copies ads. After a brief search on the Colorado Secretary of State website, Melissa currently owns the Trademark on Timeshare Savior. Also, compare the Timeshare Relief website to that of Timeshare Rescue. Could the stories be more identical? Timeshare Relief has been in business longer than Chavez Industries. Timeshare Relief is currently engaged in a lawsuit against Timeshare Rescue for intellectual property/Trademark violations. see http://dockets.justia.com/docket/court-cacdce/case_no-2:2007cv08402/case_id-404052/ Also, We Collect Timeshares, LLC has a current lawsuit for contract violations.
Melissa’s business is not run out of her house, but rather has an office (620 Miller Ct. #207, Lakewood, CO 80215). I believe Chavez Industries is attacking her company because they are afraid she will keep her customers far happier than they could. Call Timeshare Savior and you can talk directly to the owner; Kris Chavez repeatedly refused to talk with his customers, especially the disgruntled ones.
I find it hard to believe that they are 100 percent caught up on the backlog of processed deeds. Just search through TugBBS.com website and look up Timeshare Rescue or Wanted Weeks and you can see the list of complaints written about their services, including one posted on 12/08/08 regarding a property purchased in mid-July. They still haven’t received their deed and can’t get an answer from RTS. After looking through older postings, I can find no major complaints against Melissa’s performance on the TugBBS website.
Lastly, Timeshare Rescue doesn’t use an outside title company. RTS is a company started by Mr. Chavez to pocket more money. Ask RTS if they can offer title insurance or free and clear title. Timeshare Savior uses a legitimate title company, Timeshare Title, Inc., to process their titles.
Timeshare Savior has more than one solution for their customers. Call them, they can help.
December 30th, 2008 at 8:27 am
RTS is being attacked by Melissa. Please look above at her first post. We had to respond to her false statements. We want her to go away and stop bothering us. She has a lot of time on her hands, because she has no customers. That’s not our fault Melissa! Be mad at yourself for being dishonest and ruining your opportunity working with the industry leader.
We work very closely with Timeshare Rescue and to clarify, they are not being sued by any company and has successfully won every lawsuit waged against them. Bottom line, Melissa Welch is a thief that stole a business idea and intestinally tried to damage her employer while working for them. She started her “business” while still employed by RTS which is unethical and shows her character. HERE ARE THE FACTS:
1) Melissa quit her job and then tried to beg for employment back in an email to her direct manager on November 11, 2008 (that’s right guys, less than 2 months ago). We said that we accepted her first resignation and she was upset that we would not hire her back.
2) However, she STARTED her business when she purchased her domain name “timesharesavior.com” on SEPTEMBER 15, 2008 as recorded on the domain registrar WHILE STILL WORKING FOR US.
3) That means she was BUILDING HER BUSINESS while we were paying her to compete with us. Very sad. We do not wish her success. She will fail, because dishonesty never prospers.
To clarify again: RTS DOES offer title insurance for customers that request it.
We have never heard of Earl Shaw and therefore his statements cannot be given any credence. I could put a fake name too, but what value is that for the reader?
RTS has many clients including individual owners transferring units to loved ones etc. That’s because we are an industry leader, not a startup company.
If Melissa really wants to compete, she is welcome to FOCUS ON HER BUSINESS and stop attacking ours. We have worked with over 6,000 customers this year and a few complaints says nothing more than we are doing a large volume of business. If Melissa had ANY customers, there might be some talk of her too on TUG and other boards. The only conversation about Melissa or her flailing business is focused around RTS, and is in blogs that she started (and on her own website).
We have a typical payroll of over $350,000.00 a month because it takes that many people to do a good job for customers. Melissa can’t even pay her own bills, let alone hire anyone. We are not interested in slamming her with specifics, but ask her how financially stable she has been in the last 12 months and if she has been able to make good on their obligations. See if you get a truthful answer. Bottom line, Melissa didn’t meet our quality standards for employment and does not have the stability to do a good job for a high volume of customers, nor ANY marketing budget to speak of (which is why she needs to advertise in blogs like this piggybacking on Timeshare Rescue conversations to get business).
Have a great New Year. And to “Earl Shaw” AKA Melissa Welch, please stop attacking us for no reason. You are no longer employed by us, do your best to compete and leave it at that. This is not worth our time nor the time of the folks reading this. You will have your lawsuit from us shortly, and so will your husband who was seen going through our files on the weekends at the office. How sad… All this after we saved you from unemployment when you were fired from your last position. We did that because we cared about you, and now you have tried to attack us. Shame on you.
December 30th, 2008 at 8:58 am
This post is in reference to the above post by “Earl Shaw” AKA Melissa Welch. Wow, that was the most inaccurate post I have ever read. Here is the clarification:
1) Timeshare Rescue is NOT being sued by anyone, and has successfully defended itself against the attacks made by competitors. The lawsuit referenced above was dismissed in early December with a winning ruling for Timeshare Rescue.
2) Chavez Industries has been in business since February of 2000 and so that too is a false statement from the above post. Relief was started in 2004.
3) We collect timeshares is on the Receiving End of a lawsuit from Timeshare Rescue. We Collect Timeshares is not suing Timeshare Rescue.
4) The reason you can call Timeshare Savior and talk directly to the owner is because THEY HAVE NO OTHER FULL TIME EMPLOYEES! Listen to their laughable voicemail. “To talk to Melissa Welch press one, to talk to John Welch press two…” They have no other option but to talk to you personally.
5) RTS is 100% caught up with their backlog caused by Melissa as stated previously.
6) The reason Melissa has no complaints on TUG is that she has had few ,if any customers. Remember, she was working for RTS less than two months ago. SHE HAS NOT SUCCESSFULLY TRANSFERRED ANY UNITS!
7) RTS does offer to procure title insurance for clients, and did so even when Melissa worked here.
9) We have a payroll averaging $350,000.00 per month; ask Melissa when you call her how many employees she has to work on your unit transfer.
10) Lastly, to Melissa Welch and her husband – please stand by for your Lawsuit. You will be receiving it shortly, but we enjoy the additional ammunition you are providing us in these posts.
11) Remember, Melissa STARTED her business when she purchased her domain name “timesharesavior.com” on SEPTEMBER 15, 2008 as recorded on the domain registrar WHILE STILL WORKING FOR US. She is a dishonest person, and will fail. Bottom line. Use a company that is STABLE with financially stable owners who HAVEN’T filed bankruptcy in the recent past.
January 3rd, 2009 at 8:56 pm
well from what I’m reading here whether it’s from RTS or Melissa or who ever posted the Earl Shaw posting it sounds like both of you are fraudulent. Wouldn’t even consider calling either one of your companies
January 5th, 2009 at 6:26 am
I used Timeshare Rescue in December of 2007 to transfer my Shell points. My other timeshare in FL had a large jump in maintenance fees this year. I’m going to have them get me out of it! It took them about 60 days the first time. They are not a scam. I would have rather found a buyer, but everyone here knows how hard that is. Calling today once they open.
January 8th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
Has anyone here used Timeshare Assistance. Would really appreciate hearing from someone
February 7th, 2009 at 11:40 am
I have just finished with Timeshare assistance Inc. I have paperwork in hand that shows the timeshare was transfered to them. God willing this will be the end of it. The whole process took 40 days is all.
February 22nd, 2009 at 1:51 pm
Well, talk about he said she said!! on referrence to the above messages with Melissa and RTS. I agree with ME. Icannot begin to tell you the nightmare I am going through with Time share Rescue and both the Timeshare resorts, that I paid over $6000.00 to have Title Transfers done. One of my Timeshares was transferred successfully (I originally had three). Since then, I have done my part in faxing maintenance fees and assessment fees to TSR however, this has not been done and I am getting harrassing calls from Club Land’Or (Bahamas) but based in the U.S. they have not been paid!!! my other Resort in Orlando had a maintenance fee due Jan., 31st 09. Everytime I have called TSR I get a different person that has no clue what is going on! I have faxed both bills twice which I know were received, then also mailed same copies to address in Denver via certified mail! to this date (2.22.09) the letter still has not been picked up. I cannot tell you how many times I have called, only to get voice mails but no return calls. I have kept a log of how many times I have called, with dates and names. They did pay one maintenance bill in July which was late so they had to pay the penalty. I do not have any other recourse to take other than legal advice. I have been threatened and harrassed by the one timeshare Co., that they will turn in my bill to a collection Agency!!! I need to know if the Agreement I signed with TSR is worth the paper it is written on! in other words, are they legally responsible for any bills received from the Resorts or am I still the one that has to pay? Talk about being between a rock and a hardplace. It states on the agreement I signed that any maintenance or assessment fees that I get not to pay them but send them to TSR and they will pay them!! Well folks I did that several times and even called to make sure the faxes were received, but they still have not paid either bill. Right now, everything is with a Lawyer basically to let me know where I stand legally. I signed on with them in Jan.., 2008 over a year ago and they still have not transferred Titles for either one! What I am going to try and do is either get my money back from TSR for these two that they have not sold. Failing that, I will do as Etta suggested, try to do a quick claim deed with both Resorts and if successful then screw TSR just like they have done to me. If there is anyone out there that is in the same boat I am I would like to hear from them, there may be enough of us to file for a class action suit!!! Eileen if you read this, my heart goes out to you. Who ever said that these people had a good reputation for transferring titles 100% is full of !!!!!! The one Time share I have in the Bahamas I can’t even give away because the mainenance fees and assessment fees are ridiculous!!! Like Eileen, I don’t want my two Sons to inherit the out rageous fees that have to be paid each year. I guess the only solution is to n ot get suckered into buying the Time Shares in the first place.
February 25th, 2009 at 3:11 pm
Unlike most people, I successfully used my timeshare for 19 years. I tried to get rid of it in the past 3 years, through donation (which no one takes anymore), and an advertising company, who for $400, posted it on the web. Like most of you, I had no success. When I asked an attorney about these timeshare “rescue” companies, his advice was to run from them as fast as possible.
Most of you probably know by now (if you’ve done any research), that there is basically no secondary market for timeshares. If you expect to get any money back, you’re most likely in for an unpleasant surprise.
THE GOOD NEWS!
Finally, after talking to my home resort several times over the years, they put me in touch with a department at my resort management company (Vacation Resorts International – VRI), who has a “deed buy-back” program (first time I had heard of this!). It’s probably similar to what was mentioned in a prior post. Anyway, it was an excellent transaction. Cost $420. They transferred the deed (back to the homeowners association), filed it with the county clerk, and all was done in less than 6 weeks. I no longer own the property. I sent all the paperwork to my attorney at each juncture, and although he had a question or two in the process, he felt comfortable with it. One of the best parts for me was that this was all done through MY homeowners association at my property. This was not a third party trying to convince me that I no longer owned my property. If you have it available through your management company, I say… take advantage of it. You have to ask for it. They don’t volunteer this information readily.
Good luck!

Timeshare Rescue (TSR) is a scam and is run by the most unethically sound family. BEWARE!!
March 14th, 2009 at 1:07 pm
To all those folks that have dealt with timeshare rescue(they don’t deserve capital letters) I have had a nightmare. I would tell anyone DO NOT DEAL WITH timeshare rescue OR YOU WILL LOSE. chavez is just a plain crook. How that man can sleep is beyond my understanding. I dealt with a guy named zack and his wife. They said they were born again christians. I will not judge but how can they sleep after what they have done to me and my wife. DO NOT DEAL WITH timeshare rescue. I went to BBB Denver Co. a lady named Sue Cornette and I would have been better off talking to a wall. They seem to work together. I wish we could get a class action lawsuit against this timeshare rescue. I am willing to give it a try.

LETS DO A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT
LETS DO A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT
LETS DO A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT
I DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THEM WE COULD TRY
March 18th, 2009 at 2:09 pm
My wife and I began our journey with Timeshare Transfer back in April of 2008. We went to there traveling sales presentation and decided to use them to get out of our timeshare money hole. We were promised a closing of 90 to 120 days. As of March of 2009 nothing has closed and it is impossible to get ahold of anyone with Timeshare Transfer or Resort Transfer Services to get an update. Yet the maintenance fees keep rolling in. Oh, by the way, there representative will tell you to stop paying your maintenance fees once you’ve signed your contract with TT. Sorry, no, I’ve kept paying them because I don’t need to go into debt collections with my timeshare resort.
It seems that no matter how may emails or telephone messages you leave with either company neither will contact you back. On the rare instance we have been contacted (once in the 11 months) the individual seems annoyed having to deal with you and has no information to update you with.
My advice to anyone is to avoid these two companies. There customer service is non existent. You won’t receive any updates on your transfer (if there even transferring anything?) I feel we have already kissed our money good by and were still stuck with our timeshare to boot. If I could, I would load my timeshare up and shoot it into outer space. This wouldn’t help much, though, because I would still receive my monthly maintenance fee bill. Oh well, live and learn (the hard way).
Thanks for listening to my venting,
Ron

I feel like Earl, but I probably would not want to state my name if I worked for one of the Chavez type scams
March 19th, 2009 at 5:44 am
I agree with Lisa above. Te secondary market for these timeshaes is really bad if you are a seller, and really great if youare a buyer. Giving it back to the resort is really the best thing to do. I just called up Silverleaf and they are doing the entire process for me. I just had to pay my 2009 maintenance fee (that I was late on because I was tired of paying the darn thing), and $250.00. It’s a ton cheaper than using these sorts of companies.
I successfully did this with my Westgate timeshare over a year ago and they just took it back and it cost me nothing! I hear Westgate is having trouble now financially so I don’t know if they are still doing that, but that’s my experience!

Timeshare Savior is a standup company. I signed on with them back in late December to get rid of my timeshare. In February, I received a phone call from Melissa telling me that she could not help because this type of process in not legal in Colorado or any other state unless the property is listed by a licensed real estate agent with a managing broker in the state the timeshare is located. I talked with a real estate attorney and he said that a Limited Power of Attorney won’t cut it legally. It is only a fraudulant means to appear legitimate. As far as I can tell, neither Timeshare Rescue, Wanted Weeks, Resort Transfer Services or any other company owned by Chavez Industries employ a managing broker or real estate agent. I have also heard that Kristopher Chavez’s latest company change will be called Selling Time Guys. Beware!!!
As for the end of my story, Melissa followed up with a certified check of all the money I paid. No hassles, no begging for my money. I finally sold my property on ebay for $.99. It wasn’t much, but at least I no longer have a timeshare. I believe Melissa will do well in anything she ventures in as she appears to have something that lacks in other businesses…ethics.
Regarding Mr. Chavez, according to his facebook page he states that he sees the masses retreating and is preparing for a swift advance. The only advance he will make is through the ranks in prison. His title transfer company, Resort Transfer Services (RTS), is not even listed with the Colorado Secretary of State for doing business in Colorado, let alone a registered title company. Let’s see, fraud and practicing real estate without a license. His days are numbered. It just takes enough people to file charges with the state attorney.

Timeshare Rescue employs a technique called “Limited Power of Attorney” (LPOA) to control the acquiring and sale of deeds. The LPOA can be legally terminated formerly by the original grantor to be freed to do what they please with their property. However, the situation I’m faced with, because I have a buyer, is Timeshare Rescue has not changed the deed to reflect their LPOA rights to the timeshare and may have given the property to another firm called Wanted Weeks for sale, which evidently is out-of-business. Has anyone had experience with this situation, and if so, how might I proceed.

The phone number published on the website for Resort Transfer Services is no longer valid. Is the another phone number to reach them?
April 7th, 2009 at 6:37 pm
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!Who in the world would ever do business with a company who totally trashes a person whether credible or not? I would have to say that it speaks loud enough for itself. Timeshare rescue at the least presents terrible business practices! A truly credible company would never post a comment as they did against a former employee. They are just scam artists just like the timeshare companies!!!!!!!
April 8th, 2009 at 8:09 am
My late father started working with RTS in the summer of 2008. I want to call them to monitor the progress of the transaction, since I am still receiving bills from the timeshare resort. I need to know if I should proceed with the tranaction that is already in process, or should I find another avenue to dispose of the assets of the estate?
April 14th, 2009 at 11:06 am
Timehare rescue is a fraudulent company. we just filed credit card fraud against them with matercard. im ure it will be in the news. look out chritopher, nicholas chavez, your going to fed prison. i found christophers chavez private line it is 1-303-640-3520. although he never answers it, you can always leave him a message.
April 15th, 2009 at 1:26 pm
you all are fools for wasting your time and bashing eachother when that time could be spent on how to make the company better or maybe how to provide people with proof that BOTH companies are legit. After reading all this, the battle between RTS and Melissa is sickening. Seriously, both of you should put your efforts toward the people. Stop killing eachother cause the economy already did that to you. And stop bashing Kris too. the guy works his ass off. Hes trying to manage and maintain ALOT of different things. And stop bashing melissa as well. She does her best aswell. I have talked with both of these people personally. I would also have to agree with the comment made by “crazy by this crap”. it all is bs
April 25th, 2009 at 7:51 am
I am most certainly not from a competitor. My wife and I have been trying to use RTS (aka Timeshare Rescue) for our timeshare for over 6 months now. That’s right… Six Months! After repeated attempts to contact them, we have met with nothing but frustration. All of the phone numbers we had for them were disconnected. We have files BBB claims that have gone unanswered. We were just recently told that the BBB went to the address on file for RTS (aka Timeshare Rescue) and the office was vacant.
We have now gone to the Attorney General with our case, paperwork, complaints (multiple complaints), and are going to go to our credit card company to see what can be done with them.
I’m very sure that the comments above defending RTS (aka Timeshare Rescue, aka Chavez Industries) are either employees of, or family of Mr. Chavez.
All I am asking for is that the contract be completed. Follow through with your promise and contract obligations. And contact people when they try to contact you!!!!!! Because you people have not returned our phone calls, e-mails, faxes, complaints, we are left with no choice but to hire an attorney and we just filed a complaint with the Attorney General, and with the Department of Regulatory Agencies for Denver.
I’m sorry, but from my experience so far with Resort Transfer Services, aka Timeshare Rescue, aka Chavez Industries, they are not honorable and have not fulfilled their contract obligations.
April 28th, 2009 at 10:35 am
Ken, I’d like to participate with you. My dad was taken (as in his money) by Timeshare rescue. My mom recently passed away and this messed up lying company took money from my dad and ran. They are probably now relaxing in some foreign country with money in the bank while my dad sits at home and tries to figure out how to make ends meet.
Timeshare rescue – or Chavez Industries or whatever you go by – if you are for real, then reply back and include a place to get ahold of you and let us talk to find out our status.
April 28th, 2009 at 1:24 pm
Ken …. I am “the Dad” Christi mentioned, and the one who was scammed by Resort Transfer Services. I’d like to get on board with you lending my support and bad experience I had with RTS. That Chavez guy is a crook and I hope he gets caught, fined, and sent to a special place in Canon City, CO.
April 28th, 2009 at 6:04 pm
I have had the same problem/experience with Timeshare rescue (TRS). It has been over a year and no transfer. Every Limited Power of Attorney (LPOA)(3 in all are not right – surprise, surprise). Phone calls and messages go unanswered and unreturned. Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints have gone nowhere. First complaint went unanswered and/or ignored by TRS and the second one was returned as an undeliverable piece of mail. The number of complaints on the Denver BBB website have increased greatly since I made my complaint/inquiry in late March of 2009. However, my credit card company was very helpful. Even at this late date – way more than 60 days from the transaction date my credit card company has refunded my up front costs to TSR. On advice from my attorney I sent sent TSR an email voiding the deal and canceling the LPOA. This action got me a call from Antoinella McNeil of TSR. If you do a BBB search and scroll down she is listed as an key employee. She claimed that she was hired in January 2009 to help all the customers and get the transfers up to date. Yah Right!!! She was nasty and accused of being the fraud and not being understanding of the process. Poor quality of help, taking in too many timeshares at once and the poor economy were her excuses for for not getting things done. TSR is now at 1550 Larimer Street in Denver. I was accused of delaying the process by canceling the credit card charge. Antoinellea said that after three (3) days I was bound to TSR and could not get out of the deal etc. etc. What is this slavery? This is a scam plain and simply. I am filing a complaint with the CO Attorney General. If you paid with a credit card CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY !!!! Make a Disputed Charge Claim and with the proper back up you can get your money back. My credit card company told me that these scams are quite common. I do not have my TSR file with me at this computer but I will put the new phone numbers Antoinella gave on the blog in a day or so. Finally, my attorney now has this matter and will have a Cease & Desist Order served on them ASAP.
April 29th, 2009 at 11:32 am
Here is my update from my last posting:
Antoinella McNeil stated her call back number was 800-931-9882 x531.
My caller ID identified the number she was calling from 303-731-5807.
FYI: No real people answer the numbers either – surprise, surprise.
Antoinella McNeil told me of the move to new offices at 1550 Larimer Street, Denver, CO 80202.
Good Luck!

Christi and Joe,
My wife and I just got off the phone with our Credit Card company and they told us we may see remedy though them. It’s a 50/50 chance, but it’s possible. (we had to mention we had gone through the BBB for them to react so it may be worth a try).
We have given everything to the BBB and to the Attorney General in Colorado. I suggest you get on board by sending them all you have. (copies of course. Keep all originals.)
thanks
Ken
April 30th, 2009 at 11:10 am
We have also been told the following by our attorney.
1.) revoke power of attorney immediately. There are lots of free documents online just by searching.
2.) file and organize and all complaints in a timely manner.
3.) even if your credit card company won’t get you your money back, still file a fraud claim through them. (This one is important as they may actually fight the legal battle for you and name you as a party filing suit (class action))
4.) keep proper documentation and organize it! Keep copies of everything including e-mails. If the e-mail has nothing on the second page, you still need to print it out and keep it with the e-mail. A judge will look at it and ask for the second page regardless if it’s blank or not!
5.) (This is also important) send via certified, return receipt, copies of cancellation to the company you are complaining to. This is proof you actually tried to resolve the issue.
6.) get a lawyer to give you further advice. Never go on someone else’s heals. Never fully trust someone else’s advice. Seek your own legal representation. Many lawyers will work for a percentage of what ever they are able to get from the company.
7.) pray!
Good luck to all.

Call the company directly if you believe you are having problems. Nothing is solved by posting on forums like this. The vast majority of these posts on this forum are from competitors (as well as the title post). TSR has already filed suit against these competitors. Communicate with the company directly if you are having trouble.
During normal business hours call: 1800-931-9882 and speak with one of our client services representatives.
TSR transfered over 6,000 units for clients in 2008. The vast majority of the units are transfered. The remaining will be finished.
Again – call 1-800-931-9882 to get a solution to your problem if you are a real customer.
May 1st, 2009 at 10:57 am
Look, we’re not stupid.
Clearly TSR is the one in possible legal trouble here not people posting on stupid user group websites. Consumers and yes, former employees and competitors (which I am not) have a right to complain about you and there’s nothing you can do about it. No really, people complain about businesses everyday in newspapers, investigative reporting shows, websites, etc. and no that’s not slander or libel.
I think libel and slander is the least of TSR’s concern. Somewhere down the line those who you have scammed will file suit against you, subpoena your records, former employees, computers, financials, etc. so sit back and enjoy the ride.
If TSR filed suit against their competitors, to which parties have they filed suit against? In what court? What state? What is the complaint #? Let me know soon because I’d like to check the docket and who knows, maybe I’ll sit in and watch the proceedings.
I think it is safe to say that the above post is another lie to discourage communication about what’s really going on here.
PS. Follow what Ken says on the post above. He’s on the right track.
May 2nd, 2009 at 8:38 am
After searching the customer database there is nobody in our records that has the last name of “Kreusling” so you ARE a competitor, or what is your motivation to slander a good company. I think my last post was fair. It said if you are a REAL customer to contact our customer service department.
“J. Kreusling” is NOT a customer and has other motives here. This is really sad.
May 2nd, 2009 at 9:37 am
TSR – why don’t you post your new address and real phone number that works and update your website? If you’d like to help us like the ones you “helped” in 2008, be open about how to get in touch with you. From what I can tell, all ways to reach you are roadblocks.
I’m not a competitor, but a real person jilted by TSR – or so it appears to date as nothings been done and no phone calls returned.
May 2nd, 2009 at 10:38 am
Hi Christi, I don’t have your last name so I can’t assist you here on this forum or verify that you are an existing client. Please call us during normal business hours at 1-800-931-9882 for assistance. Every phone call is answered by our call center.
To clarify again: The phone numbers for TSR have never changed. All of the information is the same. (call Monday through Friday during normal business hours)-
1-800-931-9882
The bottom line is that this post title and content are unfair and slanderous. It is irresponsible to allow a post like this to continue. Just go to our website – that has all the information you need and always has to contact us. http://www.timesharerescue.com or send an email to support@timesharerescue.com
Calling the phone is the fastest way to be helped. Again – 1-800-931-9882
Have a nice day.
May 5th, 2009 at 8:55 am
My problem is with RTS – resort transfer services, who is also discussed in this forum. Sorry for the confusion. I hope you are an honest company as RTS sure isn’t.
June 3rd, 2009 at 2:00 pm
to tsr.
i’m not a competor. I have changed my name to protect me from some of your other CRAP.
I paid 2900$ to Zack in August 17, 2008. Still they have lied and now I am getting letters telling me the Maintenace fees I owe could possibly ruin my credt.
No one seems to help the owner of the timeshare. Makes me think they are in bed together. I believe there will be a special place in Hell for mr. chavez and all his cronies. Just plain liars. I hope we can put together a class action lawsuit and send them to the same place the Enron people are not enjoying captivity. I have a friend that is a lawyer and I am going to see how much itwould cost to get my $2900.
Probably won’t be able to get compensation for all the mental anquish my wife has been through
mr tsr —– what goes around comes around
June 13th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
RTS/TSR – one and the same it appears. TSR supposedly took over RTS. Will the real honest owner stand up and tell me who is taking care of all the outstanding issues and who has all the money people paid to you to take care of things…. er steal…. I mean that’s what it feels like until you do something legit.
June 17th, 2009 at 5:44 am
We also have been disatisfied with RTS and Wanted Weeks. We bought a timeshare in December 2009 and to date the companies have not fulfilled our contract with them. I am also interested in pursuing legal action against them.
June 18th, 2009 at 9:16 am
My husband and I went to a sales presentation presented by Timeshare Rescue back in June of 2008. After talking it over we decided to use them to get out of our timeshare after paying $600 to put it on line and never hearing a word from anyone after the money was paid. We were promised a closing of 90 to 120 days. As of June of 2009 nothing has closed and it is impossible get an update. Yet the maintenance fees keep rolling in. They have now gone into collections, and my credit is going to the dogs. Oh, by the way, there representative will tell you to stop paying your maintenance fees once you’ve signed your contract with TSR.
It seems that no matter how may emails or telephone messages you leave they will not contact you back. On the rare instance we have been contacted (once in the 11 months) the individual seems annoyed having to deal with you and has no information to update you with.
I am contacting the States Attorney General and see what they can do. I already contacted the TV stations in my city and they have not responded, I guess they already know what they would be up against. A lawyer just costs more money and whith my husband on Social Security and me still working just to have medical insurance because he has Pulmonary Fibrosis, we need all the money we can get just to pay the bills.
Has anyone had a good experience with Timeshare Rescue? Have they tranferred a title for anyone? Has anyone completed the transaction thus far?
June 23rd, 2009 at 8:25 pm
Everything bad that has been said about timeshare rescue is true!!! We are just average people that gave them $3400.00 to take over our time share May of 2008 now June of 2009 nothing has been done. We have done everything everybody else has done, no luck. They can say all they want about us being competitors they lie! We also delt with Zack and you’re right I don’t know he sleeps at night. Zack I hope you read this. In so many other comments for timeshare rescue to defend themselves they say they contact us because there is no name. Well is mine Ellie Feinauer my husband John and I are in your files. Please call us for we can not reach anybody there.
June 29th, 2009 at 4:54 am
I went to a meeting in cols. ohio on may 31st. 2008 about getting rid of my timeshare .
Iwas told thattimeshare rescue was an upstanding company in good standing with the local BBB .
This was not true .
They took my money and said they would somplete the transfer within 120 days Ihave heard from them once since that day onjuly 9th 2008 . By the way that has now been THIRTEEN MONTHS AGO .
These people are either scam artist , theives , or very poor at mathematics .
They will not accept my e-mails , their phones do not work and they do not respond to their fax messages .
If anyone knows how to contact them please send me an e-mail .
These people need to be stopped .
p.s. If oyu use a credit card for any transaction check with your card company to see how many days you have to stop payment This is how they are getting away with this scam ny telling you it will take 90 to 120 days . most cards have only 60 days to stop payment .
If people register enough complaints with their card companies they will not do business with them .
thanks and good luck
June 29th, 2009 at 11:56 am
My credit company voided my charges about a year after I made them with TSR. However, I had a stack of documentation (Ignored & Unanswered Complaints to the BBB etc.) to back up my position. I submitted all of that documentation to my credit card company. I advise all of you, who like me and my wife were scammed by TSR, MAKE A DISPUTED CHARGE CLAIM with your credit card company. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain. Please read my other two (2) postings of April 28, 2009 and April 29, 2009.
Good Luck!
July 7th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
All those that have had thier credit card co. get money back please let me know who the card co is. I was told I only had 3 days to complain. I had files 2″ thick of all the emails and the no good BBB. AT&T Universal card will never get any of my business again. Please let me know.
thanks a million
wilmot

I believe we have been scammed. donot use timeshare rescue as our good credit standing is now being theatened.if you have also been scammed and would like to jion us in a lawsuit against them, please contact us at kathair63@aol.com
July 16th, 2009 at 3:50 pm
Holy moly!!! This is crazy. I just came across this randomly. I have never dealt with any of these companies. Has anyone ever seen such an over the top reaction from a company when commenting on a blog? Accusing everyone who comments of being a competitor? This is one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen…
July 21st, 2009 at 8:05 am
never ever buy westgate.i worked there for two years and they are a big rip off
August 3rd, 2009 at 2:12 pm
RE: Timeshare Rescue. This outfit is completely untrustworthy. We signed up with them in Oct 08, contracting with them to transfer our timeshare out of our name by Feb (or March, they said, at the latest). As of now (Aug 09), not only have they not done what they said they would do, they have more excuses than you can shake a stick at for their failure to perform. They have lost their accreditation with the BBB in Denver, and have many outstanding complaints against them. It’s not clear what they’re up to, but it smells bad.
August 4th, 2009 at 11:10 am
The latest on Timeshare Rescue
This is from the Denver, CO BBB website. This is why nothing is getting done with your timeshare transfers.
Bankruptcy
On July 23, 2009, the company filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 7 of the federal Bankruptcy Act, case number 09-24739-SBB. Those with monetary claims against the company are advised to obtain a Proof of Claim form by writing to Colorado District Court CM/ECF, 721 19th St., Denver, CO, 80202 for resubmission to that court. The case number should be entered on the form.
My credit card company refunded my charges so I am out no money. I made a Disputed Charge Claim based on fraud and deception and was successful. Thirteen months and no action by TSR. As unsecured creditors, any of you who paid for a transfer and are still waiting may be out of luck.
August 11th, 2009 at 12:07 pm
The phone number is working at 800-931-9882. I just called it. I suggest calling the phone number before believing just anything posted on these blogs.
August 12th, 2009 at 4:56 pm
I am in the same boat as the person who gave Timeshare Rescue money months ago. I gave them my money in May, 2008. They made promises all along the way WHEN I was able to reach them but still have not done a transfer. I went through my credit card company, but since it was after their 60 day limit, Timeshare Rescue won the mediation, even though they appear to be scam artists. Now they are in Chapter 7 bankruptcy with three creditors. DO NOT trust Timeshare Rescue! I would like to hear from people who were in the meeting with me in Anchorage, Alaska on May 5, 2008 to find out if their experience has been the same as mine.
August 18th, 2009 at 9:52 am
It’s better to investigate the company first before signing any contract or before putting any money. If you find any doubtful facts about a certain company, better not deal with it. In this way, you will be sure of your financial investments.
August 19th, 2009 at 12:37 pm
I purchased a timeshare in Dec 2008 and did receive my deed 6 months later I had given up on it and it just showed up in the mail. They did not transfer the timeshare with the resort though but I feel lucky I got anything done by them.
Don
August 24th, 2009 at 7:49 am
I’m in the same boat as many of you. In Dec. 2008, I purchased a timeshare through Wanted Weeks who used RTS. The deed was transfered with the county but not with the resort and the dues were never paid. The resort has no information about the transfer. Can’t get money back from credit card company because I paid through pay pal and the dispute time is expired for pay pal. So I guess I’m out $2900. Any suggestions??

Sept l, 2008
We have been dealing with Tsr since February and certainly have been given the runaround. We have contacted Jefferson County sheriff and he could get through with the same numbers we tried to use. The numbers are either disconnected or an answering machine. We feel they have caller I.D. and do not want to answer our calls. We have been given so many names to contact in the last few months and no one will return our calls. I checked with BBB before signing with them and they gave TSR a good rating. We were not to pay any maintenance fees after June 2009, but we still get bills for them and I have sent them by e-mail and have received nothing from the comapny. I guess we were scammed.
September 10th, 2009 at 9:36 am
I spoke with a woman from RTS and she said that the deed transfer of our Williamsburg Plantation timeshare was recorded with the James County court in Feb of 2009 and we are still getting collection notices from the timeshare for overdue fees. I asked what we should do to make sure this was truly finalized and valid and she told me to fax the deed recording papers to the timeshare offices. She stated that the problem is due to the timeshare not updating their records of the deeds of ownership. I don’t know how valid this is but I will do what she recommended and find out. This has been a totally frustrating experience. The woman I spoke with is Antonella McNeil @ 800-931-9882.

I, too, met Zach, his son, and daughter-in-law Kristine K. on August 10, 2008. Worst mistake of my life. Timeshare Rescue/Resort Transfer Services have scammed me out of $2485.00 that I paid on my credit card. It has been 13 months and still nothing has been done. I have called repeatedly and have gotten the run-around excuses. I have spoken with Dave, Antonella, ad nauseum…no one has an answer other than they are still trying to catch up from backlog. They are still accepting new contracts, though!!! Ugh…makes me sick to my stomach. I am all for a class action suit.

I talked with Dave Antonella also about The Villa At Polo Towers transfer and he said they were back logged and told me by the end of the year mean while The First American Title Company Inc has a foreclosure notice on me and several other people of delinquent assessment of payments basically a lien.
If there enough people I’m for it, I’m not an attorney I’m sure someone wants to tackle it on consignment basics. please contact me at whid1@embarqmail.com
October 5th, 2009 at 9:54 pm
I called timeshare rescue mid september 2009, antonella told me that tsr is declaring bankruptcy. inorder to get my timeshare paperwork back i need to sign a form she sent to relinguish the $1950 I gave them in sept of 2008 and they will send my deed back. they are scam artists. they told me in june of 2009 that my timeshare would be transferred by the end of the year. now they say they’re bankrupt. class action, lets talk.
October 9th, 2009 at 1:26 pm
I have received two collection agency bills with fees continuing to climb on my Williamsburg Plantation timeshare that RTS had recorded as transfered. This is so frustrating it is making me sick. Has anyone decided to file a class action law suit? This Chavez guy is a real winner. I am so angry! I can be contacted @ jlabbott58@gmail.com
October 15th, 2009 at 9:46 am
I sent paperwork and charged my credit card $2994 for transfer of two units on 9/25/08. Like others I had to pay maintenance bills for both at year end. Almost forgot about it but called the magic number today(Thursday October 15,’09)in the hope that something had happened.
The message said they were closed for Columbus day. I’m not a lawyer but if anybody wants to start a class action or whatever, you can count me in.

I just got done posting my sad story and I got an email reply from Antonella McNeil saying they were in phase II of III with my transfer. Maybe there’s hope!

October 20th, 2009 at 4:56 pm
I have gone through the same with RTS and no results and now I have an intent to lien on the timeshare it is paid for just like RTS said send us the bill and we’ll pay it guess what that was like a fart in the wind storm, Now I have other companies calling asking to buy it out of Florida and asking for $ 1500.00 for Title Insurance and once it is sold I’ll get it back in 45 days.
I talked to a lawyer and to the title companies and it is the buyer responsibility for the cost not me. the intent to lien is for the HOA of Villa at the Polo Towers. So everyone if you get a call like that and they have two bidders don’t give them any money IT’S A SCAM
October 23rd, 2009 at 7:56 am
I, too, paid them to take my 2 timeshares ($4500) in Sept 2008. To date, I still have them and am about to get sent into collections for the maintenance fees. Every response I’ve received from Antonella McNeil has told me that I’m in Phase II – which basically means nothing. I get that I have been scammed out of the money but now what?? That was my final desperate attempt to unload the unwanted timeshare – I’ve paid to sell them, tried to give them away and made this attempt to pay someone to take them. I’m never paying another dime on these timeshares. Anyone have any idea what to do from here?? If they are Chapter 7, you can’t sue them and suing them would only cost more money that we would never get back.
October 29th, 2009 at 8:06 am
It seems TSR, and it’s supposedly escrow company, Time Share Transfers have cut off all communication. No phone contacts, no e-mail replies. I sent them money to purchase a timeshare 3 months ago, a few return e-mails said they were almost ready to close, and I should get paperwork within the week…over a month ago. Does anyone have some contact numbers that work, or any avenue on how to sue…class action? If the TSR guys are reading, I’m not a competitor bad mouthing. My escrow number is TST-093913, and e-mail is jstahl@ortc.com. It’s funny how they took my money after declaring BK…and I sent money to help someone get out of their timeshare!

Hi everyone that has been SCAMMED . In Nevada which has a few timeshares and if you own one in NV which I do The Villas at Polo Towers, that you can request a quick claim deed from them or get a form off line fill in the blacks get it notarize back to the original sellers, Just make sure you send it to the company real estate division registered and signature required receipt. I have an intent to lien on mind for maintenance fees and that goes against the towers and I can not use the facilities until paid not against my credit Mine is for sale but I’m not going through any SHYSTER which seems to come from Florida and Colorado, in NV the buyer is required to do a title search and establish an escrow account not the seller. Another thing write the name down the name is made up like Mr Bob Colon————what do you think? I had him spell it (2) times just to be sure and a phone number (2) They even had a financial manager call me to tell me they are legit I asked for their business license # which should be more than 9 digits and they asked why and I told them I was calling the State Licensing Dept. They hung up and the number they gave me was no longer good.

If anyone has any positive info please. We have had two of our timeshares with TSR since end of 2008 and have not heard anything from them. I sent an email to support@timesharerescue.com but have heard nothing. I called the phone number and it keeps saying to “put in your parties extension”- which i put in x531 – but it just keeps repeating itself. If there are any class acction suits pending – count me in – unless i can get a response from TSR soon stating that it is settled. We too will be reporting them (of course it probably won’t make much of a difference at this point).

News: The company is out of business. I posted a question on the forum at http://timesharerescue.com and Antonella called me back. She explained that the company is out of business but their website will be providing free information on how to complete the transfer. They are not offering phone or email support because they don’t have the staff and there said that my Hollywood Beach timeshare was one of only a handful of transfers that have not been completed to date. She said that I could wait for it to be completed by them or I could take matters into my own hands and help the process along.
She also recommended we do 3 things that work 100% of the time:
1) Call the resort and ask them to take it back.
2) If they say no ask a lawyer to write a letter with a deadline.
3) If that doesn’t work, do a “quit claim deed” back to the resort. I guess if I’m not on the deed I can’t be responsible for payment legally.
She also said that the company has transferred “thousands” of timeshares successfully before going out of business and won judgments in Federal Court after being attacked by competitors but that the company is now insolvent.
Either way, I’m going to try to do it myself with this new information. I don’t know how a class action against a company that is insolvent and out of business would do anything. The economy is bad and this company might just be another casualty. I’ll keep everyone posted on my progress. It’s very frustrating but at least I have some things I can try.

Doug,
I just found out last Friday that the company was out of business.
Let me know if you are pursuing any action against them.

Russ,
I was really frustrated, but I believe that the company fell on hard times and didn’t finish mine because they couldn’t. It doesn’t seem to me like it was an intentional thing. Based on that assumption, if they had any money at all they would have finished this long ago. So in my opinion any action would be a waste of my money and time.
The good news is that I followed the steps on the Time Share Rescuse website and Hollywood Beach is working with me directly. We are just quit claim deeding it back to them. Should be finished in 3 weeks or so the county said. I will let you know when completed. I recommend doing the 3 steps in my above post. Seems to work for me.
Here they are again:
1) Call the resort and ask them to take it back.
2) If they say no ask a lawyer to write a letter with a deadline.
3) If that doesn’t work, do a “quit claim deed” back to the resort. I guess if I’m not on the deed I can’t be responsible for payment legally.

Timeshare Rescue is not only out of business, but they filed bankruptcy!!!!
In May 2008, I signed two timeshares over to TSR (one in Florida and one in Las Vegas). I got so frustrated with them that I emailed them almost EVERY DAY!!!!. Betty or Antonella responded within a couple of days. I finally gave up and paid the late dues on one of them. Now I am filing a claim in bankruptcy court to be reimbersed. I sent copies of our contract with TSR to each resort. The Florida timeshare was finally settled…..I think!! At least I haven’t heard any more from them. I still get paperwork from the Las Vegas timeshare resort, but I keep sending them a copy of the contract and tell them it is not my problem any more and to deal with TSR.

Doug Klein – sorry – either you are an ex-employee of timesharerescue.com or you are even more of a sap than we are. PLEASE EVERYONE file a report with the Denver Better Business Bureau http://denver.bbb.org/ and the Federal Trade Commission http://www.ftc.gov/ !!! This is involving more than the few of us who are willing to tuck our tail between our legs and post that we have been suckered/swindeled/conned/fraud into believing Timeshare Rescue would help us. We paid $3,500.00 and still have the paperwork from the day (10/04/2008)including the visa charge. Not so funny, the paperwork came for us to send the deeds and a photocopy of our drivers license to a fax number. (Now we worry if this will end in Identity Theft!!!) We were such fools to believe they would “take care of all the paperwork” BUT they “forgot/scammed/robbed (pick a word) to transfer the deed to them. Humm ….has anyone noticed that when you post a complaint on the TimeShare Rescue website – that it is deleted within 48 hours??? Leads me to believe there is SOMEONE still out there scamming people like us. Let us join forces to dump TRUTH onto the Timeshare Rescue site http://timesharerescue.com/ to at least shut that off so no one else looses their money to this company.

I do wonder how those nice young people can sleep at night who signed their name (false?) to our contract. Even if they went out and had a great night on the town or went on a fabulous vacation, I hope they are haunted with the faces of those who can no longer pay their mortage, meds, help support their grandchildren, or for food. Most of us who bought time shares are middle class, hard working, people who don’t have a lawyer or an investiment banker to push this fraud into a “finacial loss.” The people who worked for this company – I am sure – were also a bunch of suckers who were paid well for the short while they lied to all of us.

We’ve been through all of the above. They got our money Oct., 2008. Nothing since, except for excuses and promises. We could join a class action or law suit, but I doubt they have the money. Also, we still wouldn’t have our deeds back–which is the proof we would need in order to sell, give, or quit claim in the future. We were suspicious that it might be a scam, so I called BBB in Denver to check it out before getting involved. They gave it a B rating, at that time, which they said was good. As a result, we went ahead and sent our check. Shouldn’t the BBB have some responsibity, also?

I have been trying to timeshare rescue to complete title work on three(3) different units
since 02/04/2008 still having trouble with one unit and I guess I will end up paying back
fees (maintenance fees, late fees, ETC.}. 2 out 3 completed makes me a little bit better-
than most people. If someone starts a class action, please contact me. From this point on
it’s BUYER BEWARE.

Today, 1-04-2010 I called the telephone number stated by TSR 1-800-931-9882.
The telephone operator stated,” you have reached a number that has been
disconnected or is no longer in service”. TSR please give me a telephone number
that I may talk to “Dave” concerning my timeshare final transfer that was to have
happened in December of 2009.

I signed a contract with TSR in April,2008. After all the form letters and promises,at the end of May, 2009, I paid my due maintenance fees for 2009 as I gave up on TSR from ever completing the “transfer”. About 3 weeks later I found out through the County Registrar’s office where the property is located that the Deed had been transferred to another individual about a week after I payed the maint. fees. I tried to get TSR to reimburse me for the annual maint. fees that they had contracted to pay. I found out in July that they had filed for bankruptcy as noted above. That put a stop to my ability to deal with them as an individual. Also, the new “owner” has not completed the paperwork to get membership transferred to himself. I wrote with no response and left several voice messages, again with no response. I don’t know if the new “owner” is a real person or not. I would think if someone actually purchased a timeshare, they would follow through and try to use it. The timeshare company says they need a copy of the warranty deed and $100 from the new owner to update their paperwork. I guess if I am not on the deed anymore, I won’t have to pay anymore. I never got a letter from TSR saying the transfer had been completed as promised through their form e-mails. If I could only get my hands on the “nice young couple” from TSR ……

Today, Jauary 21, 2010 I received in the mail a card from a
company offering to help with timeshare transfer.
Does anyone know anything about Right Choice Transfer out
Torrance, California? Are they a “scam” company?

This is a spin off of Timeshare Relief. Don’t trust any of these new companies to do the job.

I paid Timeshare Rescue $2995.00 in April 2008 and they never did anything to assist me in getting rid of my timeshare. Capital One, my Visa Company refused to assist me so be aware, None of them are legit. I am a retired 33 year police officer and did not appreciate being ripped off by this scam.
February 3rd, 2010 at 12:39 pm
I also was dumb. Thru Timeshare Rescue we paid $2926.00. We did this Jan. 12,2008. It wasn’t until this year we found out we STILL owned it, YUCK. We like others were convinced by The Suites at Fall Creek into buying more so it would be easier for us to exchange, we bought into the point system. Another stupid thing. Timeshare Rescue actually got rid of the one deed but left us with the other. Being only an everyother year deed, we just found out by Diamond Resorts sending us a bill, past due. We can not afford any more fees. Like everyone else we just want it to go away. After reading many others problems, We decide to go the route of giving it back to the resort. I wish I would have know this before we ever heard of Timeshare Rescue. It really worked. I had to be sure my maintenacne fees were up to date and the resort sent me a warranty deed. I went to the bank, had it notorized and mailed in a $85.00 check and our lives just became easier. So try giving it back. It really worked!!!!!!
