Timeshare Rescue

Timeshare Resort in Vietnam I have been alerted after reading on various timeshare forums of a potentially hazardous company known as Timeshare Rescue. Timeshare Rescue is one of several timeshare collection organizations, sometimes referred to as title transfer companies. These title transfer companies often appear out of nowhere, offering owners an exit strategy from their unwanted time share for a fee. These are often the only viable option for individuals who have been scammed out of their money in exchange for unusable and unmanageable timeshares that are worthless on the resale market. Unfortunately, the title transfer company landscape is just filled with corruption in a way similar to the actual timeshare industry, including timeshare resale.

A quick glance at their Better Business Bureau profile doesn’t reveal anything too incriminating, although their profile is not very detailed. Still, this is relatively normal for new companies, and the Timeshare Rescue file was made in September, 2007 according to the BBB. The company itself, as listed on the California State Secretary website, opened shop on June 26th, 2007. This would not be so odd by itself were it not for the fact that curious consumers calling the company and attending presentations have been told that Timeshare Rescue has been in business for 2 years and has transferred the titles of over 1,000 timeshares. This figure is impossible since, as the profile says, the company was formed in 2007.

Additionally, a closer look at the BBB profile shows that Timeshare Rescue is not a member which is typically a red flag for companies, especially those involved with timesharing. Furthermore, the BBB classifies Timeshare Rescue as a timeshare company, specifically classified as “Timeshare Campground/Resort Companies”. It would seem that Timeshare Rescue would be concerned about its image and strive to clarify this, since most title transfer companies abhor the notion of being categorized with the rest of the timeshare market. In short, the BBB profile fails to offer the consumer any grounds for trust whatsoever, which is paramount in an industry teeming with out-and-out scandals.

A recent up date regarding Timeshare Rescue in early 2008 shows that the company became a BBB Accredited Business on 3/28/08, however, they still do not have an official rating. I would advise you to still exercise caution if you are considering signing a contract with Timeshare Rescue.

** UPDATE 8/11/09 **

Timeshare Rescue had their Better Business Bureau accreditation revoked on 5/1/09, and has an F Rating.

The following was taken from the BBB.org Website:

“On May 1, 2009 this company’s (Timeshare Rescue) accreditation in the BBB was revoked by the BBB’s Board of Directors due to failure to eliminate the underlying cause of complaints on file with the BBB.

Based on BBB files, this business has a BBB Rating of F.

Reasons for this rating include:

  • Length of time business has been operating.
  • 169 complaints filed against business
  • 83 complaints filed against business that were not resolved.
  • Overall complaint history with BBB.
  • Advertising issue(s) found by BBB.
  • BBB Accreditation was revoked because business failed to comply with agreed BBB standards.
  • Business has failed to resolve underlying cause(s) of a pattern of complaints.
  • Failure to respond to one complaint filed against business.

The BBB has noticed a pattern of complaints concerning: the length of time it takes to transfer ownership of the timeshare, concerns with taking over payments of the timeshare’s maintenance fees, misleading timeshare tax information given to consumers and poor customer service. Consumers also state that the company is not returning phone calls. Consumers state they are receiving automated responses from support@timesharerescue.com email. The automated response is a Q & A fact sheet based on Time Share Rescue consumer FAQ’s.

The address for this company is a mailbox drop location only, the actual whereabouts of this company are unknown to the BBB at this time.”
** UPDATE 11/4/09 **

According to the Timeshare Rescue website, “We are now a FREE service helping timeshare owners get out of their timeshare units.  If you have a timeshare that you want to be rid of, we are here to provide FREE information on how you can get rid of your timeshare yourself.”

They also have created a Feedback Forum, where they encourage you to, “…use this forum as a means to communicate with us with regard to your timeshare transfer questions.  This is a place for all feedback regarding timeshare transfer questions.  We look forward to communicating with you here and providing information to you as a FREE service.”

The new Timeshare Rescue website appears to have gone live on November 1, 2009.  I encourage anyone who has used the new site to share their story below, and help fellow timeshare owners who have been dealing with Timeshare Rescue.

Please feel free to post comments if you have had any experiences with Timeshare Rescue.

** UPDATE 2/11/09 **

The Timeshare Rescue website is no longer available.  When you go to the page it tries to redirect to the Wanted Weeks website, which is also not functional at this time.

  1. TSR – why don’t you post your new address and real phone number that works and update your website? If you’d like to help us like the ones you “helped” in 2008, be open about how to get in touch with you. From what I can tell, all ways to reach you are roadblocks.

I’m not a competitor, but a real person jilted by TSR – or so it appears to date as nothings been done and no phone calls returned.

  2. After searching the customer database there is nobody in our records that has the last name of “Kreusling” so you ARE a competitor, or what is your motivation to slander a good company. I think my last post was fair. It said if you are a REAL customer to contact our customer service department.

“J. Kreusling” is NOT a customer and has other motives here. This is really sad.

  3. Look, we’re not stupid.
Clearly TSR is the one in possible legal trouble here not people posting on stupid user group websites. Consumers and yes, former employees and competitors (which I am not) have a right to complain about you and there’s nothing you can do about it. No really, people complain about businesses everyday in newspapers, investigative reporting shows, websites, etc. and no that’s not slander or libel.
I think libel and slander is the least of TSR’s concern. Somewhere down the line those who you have scammed will file suit against you, subpoena your records, former employees, computers, financials, etc. so sit back and enjoy the ride.
If TSR filed suit against their competitors, to which parties have they filed suit against? In what court? What state? What is the complaint #? Let me know soon because I’d like to check the docket and who knows, maybe I’ll sit in and watch the proceedings.
I think it is safe to say that the above post is another lie to discourage communication about what’s really going on here.

PS. Follow what Ken says on the post above. He’s on the right track. 😉

  4. Call the company directly if you believe you are having problems. Nothing is solved by posting on forums like this. The vast majority of these posts on this forum are from competitors (as well as the title post). TSR has already filed suit against these competitors. Communicate with the company directly if you are having trouble.

During normal business hours call: 1800-931-9882 and speak with one of our client services representatives.

TSR transfered over 6,000 units for clients in 2008. The vast majority of the units are transfered. The remaining will be finished.

Again – call 1-800-931-9882 to get a solution to your problem if you are a real customer.

  5. Christi and Joe,

My wife and I just got off the phone with our Credit Card company and they told us we may see remedy though them. It’s a 50/50 chance, but it’s possible. (we had to mention we had gone through the BBB for them to react so it may be worth a try).

We have given everything to the BBB and to the Attorney General in Colorado. I suggest you get on board by sending them all you have. (copies of course. Keep all originals.)

    thanks

    Ken

  6. We have also been told the following by our attorney.

1.) revoke power of attorney immediately. There are lots of free documents online just by searching.
2.) file and organize and all complaints in a timely manner.
3.) even if your credit card company won't get you your money back, still file a fraud claim through them. (This one is important as they may actually fight the legal battle for you and name you as a party filing suit (class action))
4.) keep proper documentation and organize it! Keep copies of everything including e-mails. If the e-mail has nothing on the second page, you still need to print it out and keep it with the e-mail. A judge will look at it and ask for the second page regardless if it's blank or not!
5.) (This is also important) send via certified, return receipt, copies of cancellation to the company you are complaining to. This is proof you actually tried to resolve the issue.
6.) get a lawyer to give you further advice. Never go on someone else's heals. Never fully trust someone else's advice. Seek your own legal representation. Many lawyers will work for a percentage of what ever they are able to get from the company.

    7.) pray!

    Good luck to all.

  7. Here is my update from my last posting:

Antoinella McNeil stated her call back number was 800-931-9882 x531.

My caller ID identified the number she was calling from 303-731-5807.

FYI: No real people answer the numbers either – surprise, surprise.

Antoinella McNeil told me of the move to new offices at 1550 Larimer Street, Denver, CO 80202.

    Good Luck!

  8. I have had the same problem/experience with Timeshare rescue (TRS). It has been over a year and no transfer. Every Limited Power of Attorney (LPOA)(3 in all are not right – surprise, surprise). Phone calls and messages go unanswered and unreturned. Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints have gone nowhere. First complaint went unanswered and/or ignored by TRS and the second one was returned as an undeliverable piece of mail. The number of complaints on the Denver BBB website have increased greatly since I made my complaint/inquiry in late March of 2009. However, my credit card company was very helpful. Even at this late date – way more than 60 days from the transaction date my credit card company has refunded my up front costs to TSR. On advice from my attorney I sent sent TSR an email voiding the deal and canceling the LPOA. This action got me a call from Antoinella McNeil of TSR. If you do a BBB search and scroll down she is listed as an key employee. She claimed that she was hired in January 2009 to help all the customers and get the transfers up to date. Yah Right!!! She was nasty and accused of being the fraud and not being understanding of the process. Poor quality of help, taking in too many timeshares at once and the poor economy were her excuses for for not getting things done. TSR is now at 1550 Larimer Street in Denver. I was accused of delaying the process by canceling the credit card charge. Antoinellea said that after three (3) days I was bound to TSR and could not get out of the deal etc. etc. What is this slavery? This is a scam plain and simply. I am filing a complaint with the CO Attorney General. If you paid with a credit card CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY !!!! Make a Disputed Charge Claim and with the proper back up you can get your money back. My credit card company told me that these scams are quite common. I do not have my TSR file with me at this computer but I will put the new phone numbers Antoinella gave on the blog in a day or so. Finally, my attorney now has this matter and will have a Cease & Desist Order served on them ASAP.

  9. Ken …. I am "the Dad" Christi mentioned, and the one who was scammed by Resort Transfer Services. I'd like to get on board with you lending my support and bad experience I had with RTS. That Chavez guy is a crook and I hope he gets caught, fined, and sent to a special place in Canon City, CO.

  10. Ken, I'd like to participate with you. My dad was taken (as in his money) by Timeshare rescue. My mom recently passed away and this messed up lying company took money from my dad and ran. They are probably now relaxing in some foreign country with money in the bank while my dad sits at home and tries to figure out how to make ends meet.

Timeshare rescue – or Chavez Industries or whatever you go by – if you are for real, then reply back and include a place to get ahold of you and let us talk to find out our status.

  11. I am most certainly not from a competitor. My wife and I have been trying to use RTS (aka Timeshare Rescue) for our timeshare for over 6 months now. That’s right… Six Months! After repeated attempts to contact them, we have met with nothing but frustration. All of the phone numbers we had for them were disconnected. We have files BBB claims that have gone unanswered. We were just recently told that the BBB went to the address on file for RTS (aka Timeshare Rescue) and the office was vacant.

We have now gone to the Attorney General with our case, paperwork, complaints (multiple complaints), and are going to go to our credit card company to see what can be done with them.

I’m very sure that the comments above defending RTS (aka Timeshare Rescue, aka Chavez Industries) are either employees of, or family of Mr. Chavez.

All I am asking for is that the contract be completed. Follow through with your promise and contract obligations. And contact people when they try to contact you!!!!!! Because you people have not returned our phone calls, e-mails, faxes, complaints, we are left with no choice but to hire an attorney and we just filed a complaint with the Attorney General, and with the Department of Regulatory Agencies for Denver.

I’m sorry, but from my experience so far with Resort Transfer Services, aka Timeshare Rescue, aka Chavez Industries, they are not honorable and have not fulfilled their contract obligations.

  12. you all are fools for wasting your time and bashing eachother when that time could be spent on how to make the company better or maybe how to provide people with proof that BOTH companies are legit. After reading all this, the battle between RTS and Melissa is sickening. Seriously, both of you should put your efforts toward the people. Stop killing eachother cause the economy already did that to you. And stop bashing Kris too. the guy works his ass off. Hes trying to manage and maintain ALOT of different things. And stop bashing melissa as well. She does her best aswell. I have talked with both of these people personally. I would also have to agree with the comment made by "crazy by this crap". it all is bs

  13. Timehare rescue is a fraudulent company. we just filed credit card fraud against them with matercard. im ure it will be in the news. look out chritopher, nicholas chavez, your going to fed prison. i found christophers chavez private line it is 1-303-640-3520. although he never answers it, you can always leave him a message.

  14. My late father started working with RTS in the summer of 2008. I want to call them to monitor the progress of the transaction, since I am still receiving bills from the timeshare resort. I need to know if I should proceed with the tranaction that is already in process, or should I find another avenue to dispose of the assets of the estate?

  15. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!Who in the world would ever do business with a company who totally trashes a person whether credible or not? I would have to say that it speaks loud enough for itself. Timeshare rescue at the least presents terrible business practices! A truly credible company would never post a comment as they did against a former employee. They are just scam artists just like the timeshare companies!!!!!!!

  16. The phone number published on the website for Resort Transfer Services is no longer valid. Is the another phone number to reach them?

  17. Timeshare Rescue employs a technique called "Limited Power of Attorney" (LPOA) to control the acquiring and sale of deeds. The LPOA can be legally terminated formerly by the original grantor to be freed to do what they please with their property. However, the situation I'm faced with, because I have a buyer, is Timeshare Rescue has not changed the deed to reflect their LPOA rights to the timeshare and may have given the property to another firm called Wanted Weeks for sale, which evidently is out-of-business. Has anyone had experience with this situation, and if so, how might I proceed.

  18. Timeshare Savior is a standup company. I signed on with them back in late December to get rid of my timeshare. In February, I received a phone call from Melissa telling me that she could not help because this type of process in not legal in Colorado or any other state unless the property is listed by a licensed real estate agent with a managing broker in the state the timeshare is located. I talked with a real estate attorney and he said that a Limited Power of Attorney won't cut it legally. It is only a fraudulant means to appear legitimate. As far as I can tell, neither Timeshare Rescue, Wanted Weeks, Resort Transfer Services or any other company owned by Chavez Industries employ a managing broker or real estate agent. I have also heard that Kristopher Chavez's latest company change will be called Selling Time Guys. Beware!!!

As for the end of my story, Melissa followed up with a certified check of all the money I paid. No hassles, no begging for my money. I finally sold my property on ebay for $.99. It wasn't much, but at least I no longer have a timeshare. I believe Melissa will do well in anything she ventures in as she appears to have something that lacks in other businesses…ethics.

Regarding Mr. Chavez, according to his facebook page he states that he sees the masses retreating and is preparing for a swift advance. The only advance he will make is through the ranks in prison. His title transfer company, Resort Transfer Services (RTS), is not even listed with the Colorado Secretary of State for doing business in Colorado, let alone a registered title company. Let's see, fraud and practicing real estate without a license. His days are numbered. It just takes enough people to file charges with the state attorney.

  19. I agree with Lisa above. Te secondary market for these timeshaes is really bad if you are a seller, and really great if youare a buyer. Giving it back to the resort is really the best thing to do. I just called up Silverleaf and they are doing the entire process for me. I just had to pay my 2009 maintenance fee (that I was late on because I was tired of paying the darn thing), and $250.00. It's a ton cheaper than using these sorts of companies.

I successfully did this with my Westgate timeshare over a year ago and they just took it back and it cost me nothing! I hear Westgate is having trouble now financially so I don't know if they are still doing that, but that's my experience!

    1. My husband and I own a Westgate Palace and we are desperate to get rid of it. Please tell me the detail process who to do . Lat time when I aske, they told me that they don’t take back the deed. I am leaving the US and moving back to my home country, so I need to act quickly. Please help me……

      Thank you,
      Hana

  20. I feel like Earl, but I probably would not want to state my name if I worked for one of the Chavez type scams

  21. My wife and I began our journey with Timeshare Transfer back in April of 2008. We went to there traveling sales presentation and decided to use them to get out of our timeshare money hole. We were promised a closing of 90 to 120 days. As of March of 2009 nothing has closed and it is impossible to get ahold of anyone with Timeshare Transfer or Resort Transfer Services to get an update. Yet the maintenance fees keep rolling in. Oh, by the way, there representative will tell you to stop paying your maintenance fees once you've signed your contract with TT. Sorry, no, I've kept paying them because I don't need to go into debt collections with my timeshare resort.

It seems that no matter how may emails or telephone messages you leave with either company neither will contact you back. On the rare instance we have been contacted (once in the 11 months) the individual seems annoyed having to deal with you and has no information to update you with.

My advice to anyone is to avoid these two companies. There customer service is non existent. You won't receive any updates on your transfer (if there even transferring anything?) I feel we have already kissed our money good by and were still stuck with our timeshare to boot. If I could, I would load my timeshare up and shoot it into outer space. This wouldn't help much, though, because I would still receive my monthly maintenance fee bill. Oh well, live and learn (the hard way).

Thanks for listening to my venting,
    Ron

  22. LETS DO A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT

LETS DO A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT

LETS DO A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT

I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THEM WE COULD TRY

  23. To all those folks that have dealt with timeshare rescue(they don't deserve capital letters) I have had a nightmare. I would tell anyone DO NOT DEAL WITH timeshare rescue OR YOU WILL LOSE. chavez is just a plain crook. How that man can sleep is beyond my understanding. I dealt with a guy named zack and his wife. They said they were born again christians. I will not judge but how can they sleep after what they have done to me and my wife. DO NOT DEAL WITH timeshare rescue. I went to BBB Denver Co. a lady named Sue Cornette and I would have been better off talking to a wall. They seem to work together. I wish we could get a class action lawsuit against this timeshare rescue. I am willing to give it a try.

  24. Unlike most people, I successfully used my timeshare for 19 years. I tried to get rid of it in the past 3 years, through donation (which no one takes anymore), and an advertising company, who for $400, posted it on the web. Like most of you, I had no success. When I asked an attorney about these timeshare "rescue" companies, his advice was to run from them as fast as possible.
Most of you probably know by now (if you've done any research), that there is basically no secondary market for timeshares. If you expect to get any money back, you're most likely in for an unpleasant surprise.

    THE GOOD NEWS!
Finally, after talking to my home resort several times over the years, they put me in touch with a department at my resort management company (Vacation Resorts International – VRI), who has a "deed buy-back" program (first time I had heard of this!). It's probably similar to what was mentioned in a prior post. Anyway, it was an excellent transaction. Cost $420. They transferred the deed (back to the homeowners association), filed it with the county clerk, and all was done in less than 6 weeks. I no longer own the property. I sent all the paperwork to my attorney at each juncture, and although he had a question or two in the process, he felt comfortable with it. One of the best parts for me was that this was all done through MY homeowners association at my property. This was not a third party trying to convince me that I no longer owned my property. If you have it available through your management company, I say… take advantage of it. You have to ask for it. They don't volunteer this information readily.
    Good luck!

    1. Lisa, how do I go about finding the right dept to call at my timeshare company. I’m desperate. Thanks
      Patty

  25. Well, talk about he said she said!! on referrence to the above messages with Melissa and RTS. I agree with ME. Icannot begin to tell you the nightmare I am going through with Time share Rescue and both the Timeshare resorts, that I paid over $6000.00 to have Title Transfers done. One of my Timeshares was transferred successfully (I originally had three). Since then, I have done my part in faxing maintenance fees and assessment fees to TSR however, this has not been done and I am getting harrassing calls from Club Land'Or (Bahamas) but based in the U.S. they have not been paid!!! my other Resort in Orlando had a maintenance fee due Jan., 31st 09. Everytime I have called TSR I get a different person that has no clue what is going on! I have faxed both bills twice which I know were received, then also mailed same copies to address in Denver via certified mail! to this date (2.22.09) the letter still has not been picked up. I cannot tell you how many times I have called, only to get voice mails but no return calls. I have kept a log of how many times I have called, with dates and names. They did pay one maintenance bill in July which was late so they had to pay the penalty. I do not have any other recourse to take other than legal advice. I have been threatened and harrassed by the one timeshare Co., that they will turn in my bill to a collection Agency!!! I need to know if the Agreement I signed with TSR is worth the paper it is written on! in other words, are they legally responsible for any bills received from the Resorts or am I still the one that has to pay? Talk about being between a rock and a hardplace. It states on the agreement I signed that any maintenance or assessment fees that I get not to pay them but send them to TSR and they will pay them!! Well folks I did that several times and even called to make sure the faxes were received, but they still have not paid either bill. Right now, everything is with a Lawyer basically to let me know where I stand legally. I signed on with them in Jan.., 2008 over a year ago and they still have not transferred Titles for either one! What I am going to try and do is either get my money back from TSR for these two that they have not sold. Failing that, I will do as Etta suggested, try to do a quick claim deed with both Resorts and if successful then screw TSR just like they have done to me. If there is anyone out there that is in the same boat I am I would like to hear from them, there may be enough of us to file for a class action suit!!! Eileen if you read this, my heart goes out to you. Who ever said that these people had a good reputation for transferring titles 100% is full of !!!!!! The one Time share I have in the Bahamas I can't even give away because the mainenance fees and assessment fees are ridiculous!!! Like Eileen, I don't want my two Sons to inherit the out rageous fees that have to be paid each year. I guess the only solution is to n ot get suckered into buying the Time Shares in the first place.

    1. Valeri, were you able to do the quit claim deeds bl to the timeshare place. I am in desperate need to get rid of mine. Thanks for any advice u can give me.
      Patty

  26. I have just finished with Timeshare assistance Inc. I have paperwork in hand that shows the timeshare was transfered to them. God willing this will be the end of it. The whole process took 40 days is all.

  27. I used Timeshare Rescue in December of 2007 to transfer my Shell points. My other timeshare in FL had a large jump in maintenance fees this year. I'm going to have them get me out of it! It took them about 60 days the first time. They are not a scam. I would have rather found a buyer, but everyone here knows how hard that is. Calling today once they open.

  28. well from what I'm reading here whether it's from RTS or Melissa or who ever posted the Earl Shaw posting it sounds like both of you are fraudulent. Wouldn't even consider calling either one of your companies

  29. This post is in reference to the above post by “Earl Shaw” AKA Melissa Welch. Wow, that was the most inaccurate post I have ever read. Here is the clarification:

    1) Timeshare Rescue is NOT being sued by anyone, and has successfully defended itself against the attacks made by competitors. The lawsuit referenced above was dismissed in early December with a winning ruling for Timeshare Rescue.

    2) Chavez Industries has been in business since February of 2000 and so that too is a false statement from the above post. Relief was started in 2004.

    3) We collect timeshares is on the Receiving End of a lawsuit from Timeshare Rescue. We Collect Timeshares is not suing Timeshare Rescue.

    4) The reason you can call Timeshare Savior and talk directly to the owner is because THEY HAVE NO OTHER FULL TIME EMPLOYEES! Listen to their laughable voicemail. “To talk to Melissa Welch press one, to talk to John Welch press two…” They have no other option but to talk to you personally.

    5) RTS is 100% caught up with their backlog caused by Melissa as stated previously.

    6) The reason Melissa has no complaints on TUG is that she has had few ,if any customers. Remember, she was working for RTS less than two months ago. SHE HAS NOT SUCCESSFULLY TRANSFERRED ANY UNITS!

    7) RTS does offer to procure title insurance for clients, and did so even when Melissa worked here.

    8) The last part of the post above is “Timeshare Savior, call them they can help” – obviously this is an attempt to advertise without spending any money, which is what many companies that have no money try to do.

    9) We have a payroll averaging $350,000.00 per month; ask Melissa when you call her how many employees she has to work on your unit transfer.

    10) Lastly, to Melissa Welch and her husband – please stand by for your Lawsuit. You will be receiving it shortly, but we enjoy the additional ammunition you are providing us in these posts.

    11) Remember, Melissa STARTED her business when she purchased her domain name “timesharesavior.com” on SEPTEMBER 15, 2008 as recorded on the domain registrar WHILE STILL WORKING FOR US. She is a dishonest person, and will fail. Bottom line. Use a company that is STABLE with financially stable owners who HAVEN’T filed bankruptcy in the recent past.

  30. RTS is being attacked by Melissa. Please look above at her first post. We had to respond to her false statements. We want her to go away and stop bothering us. She has a lot of time on her hands, because she has no customers. That’s not our fault Melissa! Be mad at yourself for being dishonest and ruining your opportunity working with the industry leader.

We work very closely with Timeshare Rescue and to clarify, they are not being sued by any company and has successfully won every lawsuit waged against them. Bottom line, Melissa Welch is a thief that stole a business idea and intestinally tried to damage her employer while working for them. She started her "business" while still employed by RTS which is unethical and shows her character. HERE ARE THE FACTS:

    1) Melissa quit her job and then tried to beg for employment back in an email to her direct manager on November 11, 2008 (that’s right guys, less than 2 months ago). We said that we accepted her first resignation and she was upset that we would not hire her back.

    2) However, she STARTED her business when she purchased her domain name “timesharesavior.com” on SEPTEMBER 15, 2008 as recorded on the domain registrar WHILE STILL WORKING FOR US.

    3) That means she was BUILDING HER BUSINESS while we were paying her to compete with us. Very sad. We do not wish her success. She will fail, because dishonesty never prospers.

To clarify again: RTS DOES offer title insurance for customers that request it.

We have never heard of Earl Shaw and therefore his statements cannot be given any credence. I could put a fake name too, but what value is that for the reader?

RTS has many clients including individual owners transferring units to loved ones etc. That’s because we are an industry leader, not a startup company.

If Melissa really wants to compete, she is welcome to FOCUS ON HER BUSINESS and stop attacking ours. We have worked with over 6,000 customers this year and a few complaints says nothing more than we are doing a large volume of business. If Melissa had ANY customers, there might be some talk of her too on TUG and other boards. The only conversation about Melissa or her flailing business is focused around RTS, and is in blogs that she started (and on her own website).

We have a typical payroll of over $350,000.00 a month because it takes that many people to do a good job for customers. Melissa can’t even pay her own bills, let alone hire anyone. We are not interested in slamming her with specifics, but ask her how financially stable she has been in the last 12 months and if she has been able to make good on their obligations. See if you get a truthful answer. Bottom line, Melissa didn’t meet our quality standards for employment and does not have the stability to do a good job for a high volume of customers, nor ANY marketing budget to speak of (which is why she needs to advertise in blogs like this piggybacking on Timeshare Rescue conversations to get business).

Have a great New Year. And to "Earl Shaw" AKA Melissa Welch, please stop attacking us for no reason. You are no longer employed by us, do your best to compete and leave it at that. This is not worth our time nor the time of the folks reading this. You will have your lawsuit from us shortly, and so will your husband who was seen going through our files on the weekends at the office. How sad… All this after we saved you from unemployment when you were fired from your last position. We did that because we cared about you, and now you have tried to attack us. Shame on you.

  31. I am writing a reply in reference to the above comment posted by RTS.

First of all, the person who wrote the comment is afraid to use their name, leading me to believe that this is one of the owners of Timeshare Rescue. Are they afraid to say who they are? Their company also owns Resort Transfer Services (aka RTS) and they are also partnered with Wanted Weeks.

Secondly, which company is stealing ideas? Try typing Timeshare Savior on Google (as of 12/23/2008)and see who copies ads. After a brief search on the Colorado Secretary of State website, Melissa currently owns the Trademark on Timeshare Savior. Also, compare the Timeshare Relief website to that of Timeshare Rescue. Could the stories be more identical? Timeshare Relief has been in business longer than Chavez Industries. Timeshare Relief is currently engaged in a lawsuit against Timeshare Rescue for intellectual property/Trademark violations. see http://dockets.justia.com/docket/court-cacdce/cas… Also, We Collect Timeshares, LLC has a current lawsuit for contract violations.

Melissa's business is not run out of her house, but rather has an office (620 Miller Ct. #207, Lakewood, CO 80215). I believe Chavez Industries is attacking her company because they are afraid she will keep her customers far happier than they could. Call Timeshare Savior and you can talk directly to the owner; Kris Chavez repeatedly refused to talk with his customers, especially the disgruntled ones.

I find it hard to believe that they are 100 percent caught up on the backlog of processed deeds. Just search through TugBBS.com website and look up Timeshare Rescue or Wanted Weeks and you can see the list of complaints written about their services, including one posted on 12/08/08 regarding a property purchased in mid-July. They still haven't received their deed and can't get an answer from RTS. After looking through older postings, I can find no major complaints against Melissa's performance on the TugBBS website.

Lastly, Timeshare Rescue doesn't use an outside title company. RTS is a company started by Mr. Chavez to pocket more money. Ask RTS if they can offer title insurance or free and clear title. Timeshare Savior uses a legitimate title company, Timeshare Title, Inc., to process their titles.

Timeshare Savior has more than one solution for their customers. Call them, they can help.

  32. Hello. I am an employee at Resort Transfer Services. Melissa Welch (commented above) quit Resort Transfer Services because she was starting her own inferior timeshare company in hopes of competing. The problems with customer service and backlog at Resort Transfer Services can be directly connected to Melissa and her job duties while employed by Resort Transfer Services. To date, in her new company ran out of her shanty apartment, she has had zero customers and has successfully transferred zero timeshares for clients. Her company is a joke.

Now that she has left Resort Transfer Services we are 100 percent caught up on our backlog caused by her. She is a bad person, with a bad attitude, that is being sued by her former employer because of her 1) incompetence 2) poor morals in starting a company thinking she could compete while still employed 3) harming current clients of Resort Transfer Services in hopes of converting them to her own inferior venture. 4) violating her non-compete provisions.

If you have had problems with Resort Transfer Services in the past, please accept our apologies, but know we are on top of the transfers as contracted. In fact, if you have had problems you can rest assured that Melissa Welch is being held responsible through a lawsuit from Resort Transfer Services for causing these troubles. If you need anything, contact us via email at support@resorttransferservices.com so we may assist you. Thank you again for your business and understanding as we close this chapter on a bad former employee. Happy Holidays!

  33. As a former employee of Timeshare Rescue and Resort Transfer Services I can understand your frustrations. I believe their emphasis is not on customer care it more about making the money. I personally do not agree with the ethics nor their morals. That is why I started my own timeshare alleviation business that emphasizes on customer service, customer care and guaranted results. Please feel free to call us for advice or with any questions that you may have. I can be reached at 866-962-1860 or via email at melissaw@timesharesavior.com

  34. I believe that Timeshare Rescue and their transfer agent, Resort Transfer Services are fraudulent organizations. I have reported them to our local police and will be contacting the Colorado Attorney Generals Office to express my concerns.

  35. My wife and I used a different company based out of CA. We wanted to sell and make some money, but realized quickly that was not going to happen. The company we used had an A rating with the BBB so we felt more comfortable using them. We got the final paperwork back showing it is out of our name. The company, Timeshare Acquisitions, did what they promised. While we are sick about losing our initial investment at least we are not going to lose more money going forward.

  36. When I entered the TimeshareAssistance, Inc. website through Google it mentioned paying me cash for my timeshare. If you could get something for it and transfer the deed, wouldn't that be better than just giving your unit back to the resort.

  37. We just signed with Timeshare Rescue in hopes of finally getting rid of this money pit timeshare. Hope it all pans out in less than 60 days or I think I will cancell payment. Can anyone else convince me they will do what they say they will? In addition I will be calling the resorts contract dept. to find out more about giving it back to them. Thanks for all the info.

  38. I just learned something all of you can probably benefit from. Call your timeshare resort contracts department. Tell them that you don't want to sell your timeshare back, you want to give it back to them. Some resorts will take it back through a quick claim deed. We were considering Timeshare Assistance but were uncertain if it was for real. Now we will proceed with giving the timeshare back to the resort company.

  39. I received a completion letter from Timeshare Rescue and the title company saying that my transfers was completed. I just got off the phone with Marriott and I am indeed off the contract. It took a little longer than I thought it would but this is finally over. I wish it was a little less, but worth it in my book. I would recommed them to anyone as fed up as we were with their timeshare.

  40. Sure would like to hear from someone who has used timeshareassistance.com – I'm tempted to use them, but, like everyone else, have been burned and am really resistant to spend more money.

  41. I am so sorry I couldn't manuever better and so much time was taken up with my pityful story. I've tried every way I know to delete the second message sent in error. I swear, it is like the timeshare, no matter what I do. . .it won't go away!

  42. I have Timeshare Rescue paperwork on my desk to sign . Was told I would have reconveyence in 2 wks. Paperwork shows 90 to 120 days. This is important. I asked them what guarantee I had THEY were not also scammers. Replied I was using credit card and could refuse to pay if they didn't keep promises. This works wi a 2 wk reconveyence. Credit card only allows 60 days to refuse charge. They would be clear with 90 or 120 days. I'm so lost. Timeshare Rescue fee is $2497. They require 2009 maint fee be paid and deduct $1000 from their fee if done. Maint Fee for 09 $1350. TMR Fee $1500. A lot of money. I live on Social Security,+ a small dwindling annuity. My home is for sale.I must pray Timeshare Rescue is for real.

  43. I have the paperwork here from Timeshare Rescue to transfer my name and responsibility from the property I purchased nearly 10 years ago. THAT was a scam and an important one. Paid $25,000 cash! The $700 maintenance fee has doubled in ten years plus a hit to "rebuild" Club Regina Puerto Vallartas' BEACH! I am disabeled and even before the current fiancial emergency was living on Social Security with a small savings which is disappearing even as we speak. I used the property one time and various services practically required, plus a requried donation to a local charity cost me a few thousand dollars. I have a one bedroom and took my two six year old grand sons. We did nothing luxuirious. I came to this site to explore a little before I make another costly mistake. I have signed over the property over the years with no less than five places that were going to rent or sell my time share. Each cost anywhere from $400 to $650. Each promised they were not like the ones before. Each ignored any contact after they received my payment. It is a beautiful property but if you can't book a year or more in advance you are out of luck. Now, reading these entries I'm even more worried than before. So far I haven't seen anything specific here that Timeshare Rescue is a bad apple, except they told me I would have reconveyence in two weeks and everything in their paperwork indicates 90 to 120 days. This is important because I asked them, on a confrrence call with other losers like myself what guarantee we had that THEY were also out to scam us. The reply was we were using a credit card and we could refuse to pay the charge if they didn't accomplish what they promised. This would work with an expecatation of a 2 week reconveyence. However, I believe credit cards only allow 60 days to refuse a charge. I'm so lost. I am going to continue looking. If I find more, I will post it. What kind of people do this? How horribly cruel they must be to take money over and over from a senior citizen, or anyone else for that matter. According to Timeshare Rescue, if we don't use them to get us out of this, we not only have to pay the maint fees the rest of our lives but it passes on to our heirs!!!!!! I'm very ill and only want peace of mind and to be rid of this horror. I was going to complete the paperwork and send it out today. Now, I think I need to invest more time on line. By the way. The Timeshare Rescue fee is $2497. Since my annual fee is due on the property the end of Jan, they require I pay that and they deduct $1000 from their fee in return. The annual fee on the property is now $1350 and goes up several dollars a year. The property is The Club Regina, Cabo San Lucas. A five star resort with a red or gold star rating depending what you are looking at. I hope this helps someone else. I will be checking back for any other comments. Thank you in advance for caring. Someday, perhaps younger victims will find a legal way to finally stop this fraud. For now, I must pray Timeshare Rescue is for real.

  44. I would like to know if timeshare assistance.com is a good company and would appreciate those who have used them to make comments here. Also would appreciate comments about timeshare rescue?

  45. I had the same offer from timeshareassistance.com I tried to donate my timeshare and then was referred to this company. I can't find any information on them other than their website. All answers to "what do they do with the timeshares" are avoided, so I have no idea what to do.

  46. I had a hard time finding info on Timeshare Rescue so maybe someone on the site has used them before and can help:) I did see on their website that you are charged for the transaction – "Question What does Timeshare Relief charge to remove me from my Timeshare Ownership? Answer: Timeshare Assistance, Inc. charges a service fee equal to 1 year's maintenance fee and a small recording fee of $127.00."

  47. Is timeshareassistance.com another one of these scams? I tried to donate my timeshare and one such place refused my donation but suggested using this company.

  48. Hi,

I am sorry it may be off topic as I neither have any information about Timeshare Rescue nor do I endorse using the word "scam" in relation to my post. Although since it is about timeshare and people who are stuck with their timeshare, i'd like to ask the public to contact me.

If you or anyone you know bought timeshare from Point To Point Destinations (West Coast Timeshare) in Vancouver, BC, Canada, please contact me from my web site where i posted some facts about my experience and i am looking for other poeple who had a similar experience:
