Vacation Village at Bonaventure

We received the following submission from one of our users regarding their experience with Vacation Village at Bonaventure:

“Pretty much the same as everyone else on here. We bought ours with family in 1990’s & is now paid in full. My spouse is retired & I don’t work so we are living on a tight budget. Our maintenance fees for 2018 were $1055.00 & I can’t remember when the last time was that we were able to find availability for a unit the size we needed & time frame. A lawyer friend submitted a deed in lieu to the company which to this date December 29, 2018 has not responded. How on earth do we get out of this unwanted timeshare in Ft. Lauderdale, FL??”

  1. Hi,

Sadly, the only language they understand is stop payment. As long as you continue to pay these folks, you remain in their hooks. They will whine, threaten and do whatever it takes to get those maintenance fees to resume. If you hold fast and stop paying and talking, they will be forced to foreclose in good time. Remember, you are a host and them the leach. Leaches hang on for dear life while you apply treatments.

Yes, it can hurt your credit but at retirement age does that really matter?

    Good luck.
